Materials used:

For paint colors in both courses, we'll be using a total of 8 colors: quinacridone magenta, cadmium red medium, cadmium yellow medium, cadmium yellow light, phthalo blue (green shade), ultramarine blue (red shade or just neutral), burnt umber and titanium white.

You will only need one yellow (yellow light hansa or cadmium yellow light) for Painting Flowers in Acrylic.

If you don't have these paint colors and are unable to buy them, no worries! I have a full list of substitutions available. You'll need one warm and one cool of each primary color, plus an earth tone and white. That's it!

Color Mixing with Acrylic also uses an 8.5" x 5.5" sketchbook, but you can substitute any sketchbook with heavyweight cold or hot press paper. You may just need to modify the measurements to have the charts fill the page.

"Wow! This course did not disappoint! It was packed full of information from paint brushes to colour mixing and tonal values. Each module was a joy to work through…even the background music added such a relaxing element!" - Carolyn S.

What students have said about Color Mixing in Acrylic:

"I've ordered other online classes in the past, and most of them turned out to be more like passive demonstrations. Yours was completely different: engaging, clear, and so thoughtfully structured. I'm honestly sad the class is almost complete."

- Margie F., USA

"Having just completed Marianne's Colour Mixing with Acrylics course, I highly recommend it to those who wish to extend and deepen their knowledge of painting. This is a unique and useful course which would be of benefit to all those who wish to master colour."

- Keith S., UK

"I am blown away by the depth of knowledge I gained. This course not only taught me why colors mix the way they do, but also provided me with a full understanding of how to make adjustments to achieve the perfect color. Highly recommended."

- Jennifer T., USA
